CAMRA
Advantage

Advantage Ale - ABV: 4.0%

A well-flavoured ale with a hint of spiciness from the hops.
Amber in colour, tasty and well-balanced with a hoppy, just slightly roasty aroma.

ablaze

Autumn Blaze - ABV: 4.4%

A russet amber ale with a gentle, spicy hop character and pleasent maltiness.

banner

Banner Bitter - ABV: 4.0%

Consisting of 100% pale ale malt. The exclusive use of Styrian Golding hops for both early and late hopping gives this 'pale' ale a fruity hoppy aroma and taste.

Bombadier

Bombardier - ABV: 4.3%

A burnished copper colour, it has a rich, tempting aroma of peppery hops and rasins, while the palate is dominated by more dark fruit, juicy malt and tangy hops.
Brains SA

Brain's SA - ABV: 4.2%

The renowned 'special ale' is copper coloured with a full premium quality falvour. A nutty richness derived from a blend of fine pale and crystal malts is balanced with a satisfying dryness from the unique use of three hops; Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles. The aroma has a hint of spirit which adds to the legendary mystique of this premium cask beer.

Broadside

Broadside - ABV: 4.7%

Rich fruitcake aromas - almonds, zest and conserved fruit. A wonderful balanace of malt and hop flavours. A pint to savour. An easy drinking pint rich in flavour.
Adnam's Broadside enjoys a special place in our heart. Brewed to celebrate the Battle of Sole Bay in 1672, Adnam's Broadside has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame. A true winner in it's own cause.

Duchars

Deuchar's IPA - ABV: 3.8%

A multi-award winning beer! It uses a special blend of two hops; Fuggles and Super Styrian Goldings. Duchar's IPA is a fabulous beer. A brilliant blend of malt and hop character and above all a drink with enormous drinkability. Dark blonde in colour with a fruity, floral aroma.

Horsham Old

Welton's Horsham Old - ABV: 4.5%

Slightly hazy and a deep red in colour with a wide range of flavours on the pallate. Roast malt, caramals and a sweet start, finished off with a slightly lactic sourness at the finish. An extrodianary old ale that must be drunk.

HSD

HSD - ABV: 5.0%

Brewed with plenty of malt and lashings of English Fuggles and Godling hops, HSD is truly a classic ale of considerable depth and complexity. The real beer alternative to a full-bodied premium red wine and simply superb with steaks and other red meat dishes. This is St Austell's most notorious and famous ale. HSD is a full-bodied strong Cornish ale brimming with a kaleidoscope of flavours.

doctor

IPA Doctor Okell's - ABV: 4.5%

Pure brewed in the Isle of Mann, definately a good example of a traditional IPA, more so than some of the weaker replicas available today. Very fruity, light in colour and plenty of balls!

Old Hookey

Old Hookey - ABV: 4.6%

A beautifully balanced beer, fruity by nature with a well-rounded body and the suggestive echo of Crystal Malt.

 

Pridenjoy

Pridenjoy - ABV: 2.8%

Pridenjoy is a full-bodied low alcohol beer which is consistantly thought to be 4% abv in tastings taken place throughout the trade. It is included in the book '300 Beers To Try Before You Die'. It's a refreshing healthy beer that will not necessarily make you fall over.

Pump Lord

Landlord - ABV: 4.3%

A classic strong Pale Ale, Landlord has won more awards nationally than any other beer.
Refreshingly reliable, nationally renowned, this full drinking Pale Ale with a complex hoppy aroma has real 'pulling power' and stands out in any bar.

RevJames

The Rev. James - ABV: 4.5%

The Rev. James is brewed to a traditional recipe and has been described as having a flavour not commonly available these days. Full-bodied and warming, the Rev. James is rich in palate, spicy and aromatic with a deeply satisfying finish.

spitfire

Spitfire - ABV: 4.5%

A recent visit to the brewery in Feversham reminded us of the joys of this fine kentish beer. The deep amber Kentish ale piles in the aroma and flavour with three different locally-grown hop varieties adding a wealth of fragrant interest to its bank of well-rounded malts.

StrongArm

Strong Arm - ABV: 4.0%

Well rounded, ruby red ale with a destinctive tight creamy head. Good balance of malt, hops and bitterness.

Sunchaser

Sunchaser - ABV: 4.0%

Sunchaser is a thirst quenching beer made in the style of a continental lager. Hence you will find subtle fruit flavours and a little sweetness within.

 

Sussex Best Bitter

Sussex Best Bitter - ABV: 4.0%

This beer is brewed to an original gravity of 1036' - 1040' from a recipe which has evolved over many years. It is a full, well-hopped bitter with a reuptation that exceeds the borders of its native and adjoining counties.

Tiger

Tiger Best Bitter - ABV: 4.2%

A true award winning best bitter with universal appeal. Tiger Best Bitter is a classic example of getting the perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness. Crystal malt gives the beer its rounded toffee character.

tribute

Tribute - ABV: 4.2%

Another brilliant beer from St Austell, this ale is brewed using traditional Cornish ingredients wherever possible, including specially grown Cornish Gold Malt. It can be enjoyed on its own or as an accompaniment to a meal and is best suited to chicken, gammon of fish - good enough to rival and fine white wine. Tribute is a magnificent example of a bronze coloured English bitter, with a rich aroma of biscuity malt and tart citrus fruit from the Willemette hops. Juicy malt, hope resins and tangy fruit, finally becoming dry and bitter. It is the favourite of the London Cornish Rugby team who meet every Saturday at the Telegraph.
